Cañada College Families and Community
Thank you to all who made the 11th Annual Arts and Olive Festival an immense success! Due to teamwork, commitment, humor and great support from our college community a substantial amount of money was raised for scholarships. And quite importantly, the community's families spent a lovely afternoon visiting and enjoying our campus.
Faculty, staff and administrative college district volunteers pitched right in and made certain that everyone, adults, children and families were welcomed and served at every station.
The vendors complimented site placement throughout our newly renovated campus, the current construction area draped with beautiful scenes provided by students in the Art department, and the enthusiasm and helpfulness of our volunteers. Major donors and sponsors were cared for appropriately and every booth was staffed with generous volunteers for day long activities.
Early Childhood Education Students staffed the Kid’s Corner, providing crafts, art projects and face painting for the children. ECE volunteers helped with the entertainers and family groups attending the performances. Interior Design and Marketing provided displays at the college bookstore, Phi Theta Kappa represented our students environmental concerns. Kudos to all! And our heartfelt thanks.
